Passchendaele Battle
UNKNOWN soldier |
Dear: Future Child
I still (in the middle of the war) think of the next future children, I still wonder do they have to face what we face it. Fighting to save are homes and countries, families and friends. Or should we think about are selves and souls and save are lives.
Here seeing my friends die was like a huge thing, my best friend that always helped me gave me anything I want, even if it’s illegal, dying in front of me.
Leaving my family, within knowing I might never see them again. Thinking were doing all of this for future people would they remember us? Would they understand why we did it?
Terrified faces, scared from fighting that we dream to die, instead of listening to my little children’s voice; I was hearing grenades, guns, screaming, and blood.
But of course I knew that I had 1% chance for me to survive, that was a huge thing for me, at least I had a chance. We never had energy to fight either, are chief had past away, we had no food….
I wonder would anyone remember me or any of the other soldiers that fight it for the war, would they be proud of us.
Do you children still listen to Woody Guthrie, The famous singer cause I really, really ……….
